Starting from scratch lesson 2

Hey guys of the internet and welcome back to starting from scratch part 2. Today you will learn about sprites and the code blocks. If you enjoy this series be sure to leave a comment!

Sprites are the objects which you can code. In most games they are characters. You start of with the famous orange cat. If you don't like him you can choose from many sprites or upload your own, even make your own! To do so click the buttons below the coordinates. The far left one will take you to the sprite page which have at-least 50 sprites, then theres the upload your own. Lastly the make your own button.

Your " coding blocks " are the little block looking thingys that code the game. They are just basically simplified code. In the 2.0 update there are 10 different types of blocks. There is:

Motion

Looks

Sound

Pen

Data

Events

Control

Sensing

Operators and more blocks.

In this part we will talk about motion, next week we will talk about the rest. Motion is the movement of your sprite. These are the blocks you can code with, move ()* steps, turn () degrees, point in direction (), point towards ^*, go towards x: () y:(), go to ^ glide () secs to x: () y: (), change x by (), set x to (), change y by (), set y to (), if on edge bounce, set rotation style ^.

* , choose number to put in

^, pop-down menu with options.

So like i said before the motion blocks are the movement of your character.

Thats all for today so have a nice day!

Portal 2

Hey there guys Re3 here and today I'm reviewing portal 2 on PS3. This is a wicked game that has one of the best guns ever ... a PORTAL GUN. Apart from being a awesome this game has a cool multiplayer system. Instead of the normal player you can be two robots, but there are two portal guns and player 1 has a blue and purple and player 2 has a orange and red gun. Also there's online multiplayer. Now on to the single player mode, this is where most of the action is (apart from mucking around on multiplayer). The story mode is very fun but what makes it twice as better is Wheately the a funny robot that helps. The puzzles are fun with lasers, robots with guns, moving platforms and more. The final boss on portal 1, GLaDOS isn't the boss on portal two, Wheately is (Spoilers) I now what your thinking "but he helps you" that's what I though when I played It but no the only robot that didn't shot me is evil. I haven't finished this game yet but so far it...
